My Name Is Mary Whitney, And
Along With My Husband, R.C., Have Been Breeding Nubians For
Show, Milk And The Pure Beauty Of Them, Since 1978. We Breed For
An Animal That Is Structurally Sound, That Has The Genetics To
Be Healthy Without A Lot Of Added Antibiotics And/Or Nutrional
Supplements And Has The "Vigor" To Be Able To Travel
The Long Distances That We Must Travel To Get To The ADGA Shows
In Our Surrounding States. That Doesnt Mean We Dont Supply
Our Animals With The Basic Nutrients And "Common
Sense" Care They So Richly Deserve, They Receive CDT
Vaccinations, Bo-Se 4 Times A Year, And The Finest Alfalfa We
Can Get. They Dont Receive An Abundance Of Grain Except On
The Milk Stand And The Young Stock Have Been Getting A Product
From Kruse Called "Sea Power" That I Feel Has Helped
Them Grow And Mature Very Well This Year. The Young Stock Also
Is Treated And Maintained For Coccidia Prevention. All Animals
Are Offered Free Choice Minerals. Kids Are Started On Heat
Treated Goat Colostrom, And Raised On Pasteurized Goat Milk
Until At Least 9 Weeks Of Age. I Do Supplement With Milk
Replacer If, And When It Is Needed, But Usually Only By Using It
Mixed With The Pasteurized Milk. I Also Add Probios And Vitamins
To The Pasteurized Milk For The Kids.
I Have Been On DHIR Test In
The Past , But At This Time I Am Rather Isolated And It Is Hard
To Find A Reliable Tester. I Hope To Be Able To Do A One Day
Test In 2000. My Herd Is Not Tested Yearly For Cae, But On The
Occaisions That I Have Had Animals Tested Prior To A Sale, I
Have Never Had A Cae Postitive Animal. My Herd Was Linear
Appraised By Steve Richter In August, 1999.
Your Questions Or Concerns Are
Welcomed. A Deposit Of $50.00 Is Required To Hold A Kid Of Your
Choice. Note: Bucks Will Be Retained From Some Breedings.
Sincerely, Mary Whitney
